Kilkenny Kennels was set up in 2010 by Marie Brannigan who is from a farming background and has a great understanding of animals. Marie along with her capable staff take pride in providing an exceptional service in the ‘state of the art kennels’ on the edge of Kilkenny city on a stunning site of 40 acres. The presence of a small shallow pond and a separate fountain in the shrub-filled garden is an exciting addition for many of our canine guests.

 With the owners residing on site, Kilkenny Kennels provides a comfortable, happy environment for the pets entrusted in their care. They appreciate that your pet is an important member of your family and many owners have commented that their dogs are always happy to re-visit Kilkenny Kennels, making leaving their pets much less stressful than usual.

Marie & her staff take great personal interest in each individual dog and spend as much time as the owner requires getting to know the dog before the owner makes a booking. This happens when viewing is arranged in advance of dog’s first stay.

The kennels were originally constructed for horses, so the sizes of some of the units needs to be seen to be believed. They vary to accommodate small, medium or large dogs, and also multiple dogs from the same household. There are seven separate outdoor areas where the dogs spend time during the day.
